We are seeking a Full Time Registered Veterinary Technologist

We are a family owned and operated small animal practice, and we are seeking an additional RVT to join our team at Seasons. We encourage interested persons to review the following details regarding the qualities we seek in an RVT, who we are, and what we stand for. For serious applicants, who are interested in getting to know us more, we would love to host you for a ‘day at Seasons’ to meet us, our team and some of our wonderful clients; and we would also be happy to provide ‘references’ to give further insight into what the clinic and the role of RVT at our clinic. You can also visit our website (seasonsvetclinic.com) and social media platforms (@seasonsvetclinic), as well as our Google reviews to learn more about us.

Should you wish to be considered for this position, please submit your resume and cover letter to Dr. Bronwyn Chisholm, owner/veterinarian, at [email protected]

Our offer:

Wages and benefits:

  • Our wages are based off the annual MVMA wage-report (as a guide), and then ensuring we pay above and beyond this. Our hourly wage starts at ~$20.00/hr and increases above $25.00/hr, depending on experience and background.
  • We value a tremendous work ethic, and so we have performances bonuses to recognize contributions that go ‘above and beyond’. Because we have such a wonderful, devoted group of people, it is typical to provide bonuses to some or all of the team throughout the year.
  • All other benefits are at or above industry standards.

Hours:

  • We structure each day to ensure that it is calm, productive. Because of the structured system of booking and management of urgent/emergent cases, breaks are well-defined, and overtime is very unusual for all staff – RVTs included. The end of a shift is a defined time, rather than an approximation. By carefully managing our scheduler, we can provide excellent patient and client care, while not sacrificing our work/life balance doing so.
  • A full-time position is defined as 40 hours per week, however for applicants wishing for a part time position (less than 40 hours per week), we encourage you to apply, and include in your cover letter what you are seeking. For the right candidate we will see how we may be able to work together on a plan.

Who we are and who we are seeking:

  • The owners started Seasons Veterinary Clinic with a desire to build a practice that is both a positive, rewarding environment for their team, as well as a clinic where clients know they are respected and valued, and the pets consistently receive excellent medical attention in a gentle, calm, caring environment. Growing up in small towns and experiencing first-hand the wonderfulsense of community that results, the owners have worked hard to establish a ‘small-town feel’ -a community of clients and their pets who call Seasons Vet Clinic ‘home’.
  • Since opening 3+ years ago, we have built up a lovely clientele who see us as an integral part of their pet’s health and long life, and we are looking for an RVT who is keen to get to know the clients we serve, help to build a relationship of trust with them, and assist in providing high quality, compassionate and tailored medicine to each pet, as part of a team with their owners.
  • We have very low staff turnover, providing a stable, positive foundation to join. With the tight-knit, and supportive team that we have at Seasons Veterinary Clinic, experience is not a requirement. The entire team loves to mentor new members, and the owners are keen to have the right person join: someone who also thrives on making a difference in the lives of the people and pets that they touch, and who enjoys working in a kind, warm and well-organized clinic.
  • The structure of the clinic is designed to provide consistent support, guidance, mentorship and clarity of expectations, ensuring that days are calm, productive and rewarding.

Over the 3+ years since the practice was opened, ‘Seasons’ has grown and continues to do so. We have a wonderful group of people who make up our clinic and who put their heart and their energy into everything they do and every pet they cross paths with. If you are interested in working in a beautiful new facility, with highly competitive wages, where each team member is helped to thrive and grow, and each client and their pet treated with empathy and care, then we would love to receive your resume and cover letter.
